I loved this book when I was a kid &amp; still am drawn to it when I am at the library.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t know why it has such a strong draw for me, but I do know that when I was a kid, I associated very much with Max, the main character. Growing up, I would always escape to my room and be lost in a book, or drawing.<\/p>\n<p>I created worlds where I was the &#8216;king&#8217; and nothing or nobody else told me what to do.
