Toes exposed thru broken shoes,
a heavy load upon his back.
Holding himself up with a stick
and grasping his red bag.
Tattered & frayed rim hat
scruffy, white beard
gave me an indication
of his rough years
Still he walks
holding his head up proud
with a purpose in
his stride…
